Self-centering and self-expanding mechanical chucks based on the same principle of operation of the new CLEV12 mechanical shaft, these chucks satisfy the same functions of the most common pneumatic or pneumechanical chucks with the difference that now is no more necessary compressed air as well as the using of inflating or deflating devices.

Core locking occurs by radial expansion of a steel balls set moved thanks to an outer sleeve with a drag function, these balls generate a pressure and then a torque on the inner core surface engaged on the shaft.

Transmitted torque is unlimited, its value depends only by the quality of the core.

Depending from operational needs, adapters for several size of core diameters, from 3” up to 12” are rapidly mounted on the standard chuck body.
