Friction Rings

Our Friction Rings feature a double row of balls and ensure perfect core locking and good friction control of the reels to be rewound.

They are available in the following configurations:

  • Unidirectional or Bidirectional
  • With or without springs
  • Available executions: Hardened and corrosion-protected steel /Hard anodized aluminium / Hard anodized aluminium with steel-bushed plastic
  • For cores with internal diameter from 50mm up to 17” (440mm)
  • Minimum width: 7mm (for 3” c.i.d.) up to 60mm and 10mm (for 6” c.i.d.) up to 100mm
  • Special diameters and widths available on request

FEATURES

  • Double row of balls always in contact with the core by means of a return spring
  • Hardened steel or hard anodized aluminium execution
  • Suitable for cardboard and grooved plastic cores
  • Suitable for use with fully automatic core loading systems
  • Suitable for use with fully automatic reel unloading systems
  • Equipped with return spring
  • Available for 3” (76,2mm) up to 6” (152,4mm) ID cores
  • Standard available widths: 20mm (19+1), 25mm (24+1), 40mm (39+1), 50mm (49+1)

JUMP-B MODEL

  • Hardened steel execution
  • Suitable for cardboard, smooth plastic, grooved plastic and metal cores
  • Suitable for use with fully automatic core loading systems
  • Suitable for use with fully automatic reel unloading systems
  • Equipped with flat preload springs under the balls
  • Available for cores with int. diameter of 70mm and from 3” (76.20-77.00mm) up to 6” (152.40-153.00mm) ID cores
  • Standard available widths: 25mm (24+1), 40mm (39+1), 50mm (49+1)

  • Suitable for use with fully automatic reel unloading systems, even without shaft counter-rotation
  • Equipped with return spring and flat preload springs under the balls
  • Available for ID cores of 70mm and from 3” (76.20-77.00mm) up to 6” (152.40-153.00mm) ID cores
  • Standard available widths: 15mm (14+1), 20mm (19+1), 25mm (24+1), 40mm (39+1), 50mm (49+1)
