DIF Model Direct Friction Shafts

DIF Model Direct Friction Shafts are particularly suitable for rewinding reels made of materials with uneven thickness along the width, as they do not generate tension differences during the rewinding of multiple reels.

Ideal for use on slitting and rewinding machines, they ensure uniform winding of all types of reel, including very narrow ones.

When the machine is running, the friction force is regulated by a constant supply of compressed air with variable pressure between 0 and 6 bar, through a rotating joint connected to the shaft axis.

Special keys made of ZAMA alloy, located inside removable keyrows, expand in direct contact with the inside of the cardboard cores and, through friction, transmit to each reel the necessary torque to ensure uniform winding.
