Our TPN SAFE-GRIP Pneumechanical Chucks provide perfectly concentric expansion, high load capacity and transmit high torque with cardboard and metal cores.
Commonly used on shaftless unwinders, they allow locking of larger internal diameter cores through the quick installation of adapters on the base shaft.
Adapters for cores with internal diameters up to 300mm can be quickly mounted on the standard base chuck for cores with internal diameters of 70 mm and 3”.
The adapters are lightweight because they are made of aluminium.
The chucks are manufactured entirely in steel, while the mounting flange is always custom-made to fit any machine connection.
Also available in the “Dual Step” version: chucks featuring a single base body with two expansion stages arranged in contiguous series and compatible with cores of different internal diameters (the most common being 3” and 6” cores).
